Getting Started
How do I log a stress moment?
Tap the big circle on the main screen. That's it — a single tap logs a stress moment with a timestamp. You can add tags, a mood level, and a note afterwards from the edit screen.
What are tags and moods?
After logging a moment, you can tag it with a context (e.g. Work, Commute, Social, Fatigue) and set a mood level. These help you identify patterns over time in Insights.
Can I add a note to a moment?
Yes. Tap any moment in History to open the edit screen, where you can write a personal note. Notes are stored only on your device and never shared.
Where can I see my past moments?
Go to History (clock icon in the tab bar). You'll see a chronological list of all your logged moments with their tags, moods, and notes. Free users can view the last 3 days; Pro unlocks the full history.
Breathing & Techniques
How do I start a breathing session?
After logging a moment, the guided breathing screen appears automatically. You can also start a session anytime from the main screen — just tap and hold the circle, or use a widget.
How do I change the breathing technique?
Tap the breathing technique pill below the main button, or go to Settings → Breathing Technique. Available techniques include Box Breathing, 4-7-8, Coherent, Calming, Energizing, and Deep.
Can I create my own breathing pattern?
Yes. Go to Settings → Breathing Technique → Custom and set your own inhale, hold, exhale, and rest durations. This is a Pro feature.
What are ambient sounds?
Still offers ambient soundscapes — Deep Calm, Ocean Waves, Soft Breeze, Fireplace, and Forest Morning — that play during your breathing session to help you relax. Tap the sound pill on the main screen to pick one, or turn them off. Sound selection is a Pro feature.
How do I change the session duration?
On the main screen, tap the duration selector above the breathing button to choose how many cycles you'd like to complete.
Insights & Patterns
What does the Insights tab show?
Insights shows your stress patterns — including peak hours, busiest weekdays, weekly trends, and your most recent session. It helps you understand when and where stress hits most. This is a Pro feature.
How does heart rate monitoring work?
On iOS, Still reads heart rate data from Apple Watch via HealthKit. On Android, it reads heart rate data from Wear OS via Health Services. When a stress spike is detected, you'll get a notification suggesting a breathing break. This is a Pro feature.
Smartwatch & Widgets
What can I do on Apple Watch?
The Apple Watch app lets you log stress moments and start guided breathing sessions right from your wrist. It also shows your session stats, heart rate, and syncs everything to your iPhone.
What can I do on Wear OS?
The Wear OS app lets you log stress moments and start guided breathing sessions from your wrist. It shows your heart rate and today's session count, and syncs your settings and technique selection with the phone app.
What widgets are available?
On iOS, Still offers home screen widgets, lock screen widgets, and Siri Shortcuts for quick access to breathing and logging. On Android, home screen widgets are available for quick actions.
Customization & Reminders
Can I customize the app's appearance?
Yes. Go to Settings → Appearance to choose your accent color and theme. Pro users get access to the full color palette and a custom color picker.
How do I set up daily reminders?
Go to Settings → Reminders and enable daily notifications. You can choose the exact time you'd like to be reminded to check in.
Can I lock the app with biometrics?
Yes. Enable Settings → Privacy → App Lock to require biometric authentication every time you open Still. On iOS this uses Face ID or Touch ID; on Android it uses your device's biometric sensor (fingerprint, face unlock, etc.). Your biometric data is handled entirely by your device's secure hardware and never accessed by Still.
Subscription & Data
What does Still Pro include?
All breathing techniques and custom patterns, ambient sound selection, full history, insights and analytics, all accent colors, smartwatch features, health integration, and data export.
How do I cancel my subscription?
iOS: Open your device Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions → Still Pro → Cancel.
Android: Open the Google Play Store → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Still Pro → Cancel.
On both platforms, you'll keep Pro access until the end of your current billing period.
How do I restore my purchase on a new device?
iOS: Open the paywall (Settings → Subscription) and tap "Restore Purchases." Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple ID you originally purchased with.
Android: Your subscription is automatically restored when you sign in with the same Google account. If not, open Settings → Subscription and tap "Restore Purchases."
I have a redeem code. How do I use it?
iOS: Go to Settings → Subscription → Redeem Code and enter your code.
Android: Go to Settings → Subscription → Redeem Code and enter your code, or redeem it through the Google Play Store.
Where is my data stored?
iOS: All data is stored locally on your device. If iCloud is enabled, it syncs privately to your other Apple devices using Apple's end-to-end encrypted CloudKit.
Android: All data is stored locally on your device. There is no cloud sync on Android.
How do I export my data?
Go to Settings → All Logs & Export → Export. Your data is exported as a CSV file. This is a Pro feature.
How do I delete my data?
You can delete individual moments from History, or uninstall the app to remove all local data. On iOS, if you have iCloud sync enabled, disable it in device Settings to remove cloud data. Still has no servers — there's nothing else to delete.
